So most likely the inhibitants of Shoggoth are Carpet Beetles.
I can confirm a few things about that, and the most important thing for me is that they hide from light. Or, they are afraid of the light. So they are hiding underground most of the time that is why we didnt see them yet. And the best part about this is that they wont come crawling out.
I saw one of them again while checking, he submerged before i could grab my camera though, thanks to the light i geuss.
And these little critters are born inside rotting death, so that explains how they can survive Shoggoth i geuss.
And another good thing about carpet beetle larva is that they take 8 to 12 months to grow into a mature form. After which they die in a period of 6 weeks. Then again, these larvae are surrounded with food and not much competitors, so they might mature faster.
And there is a possibility of mutation, like some of you said.
However,
Carpet beetle larva are mostly hairy. These little babies are not hairy.
But there are around 700 known species of carpet beetle larva so that doesn't really say much.
I should email some kind of expert.

day 110: It continues..

Holy shit. I'd almost feel tempted to get google ads in the sidebar now.
I never got so many comments in a day either.
Haven't seen the little critters again, so im assuming they like to live underground. I once added soil, and maybe the eggs or they themselves were in the soil. Or they were attracted to the egg juice. Someone even suggested that they could be from the spider's belly, undigested eggs.
As can be found in the huge amount of comments from yesterday, they are most likely Ohio carpet beetle larvae. Which ofcourse, live on eating dead things.
They are used to clean animal bones and for forensic investigations and stuff.
And, thank god, they are not maggots or cockroach larvae. If they we're i would have killed Shoggoth right away.
If they are eating Shoggoth from the inside they might be eating the liquid layer to, which is a good thing, and they also would have to shit. And maggot poop makes excellent cheese, or better, a fertilizer.
And alot of you are saying that it's time to end Shoggoth, and you guys especially seem to like the idea of burning it. But burning it wouldn't give that much of a great effect, except for spreading out spores, and i'd rather dump it in the organic trash where it will end up on a trash hill with all kinds organic crap to eat when the time is ripe.
I'm not giving up just yet, and especially now.
I still hate bugs though.
I'm not going to feed Shoggoth for a while, the bugs might get the idea that the surface is good for food and climb out.
Oh and the black goo grew a little bit in size again. And it might be the moving black thing from day 82.
I need a bussiness card saying. "Professional mold breeder"

Day 109: It begins.

Today looks like a normal day. Sure, the black has grown in size again, and for some reason the other mold is growing hills shaped, like the white/green is land and the black is ocean, and the spiders etc. Are gone. Nothing to worry about, nothing suprising at all...
That was until i took a second look.
Sparklinginthesunlight.jpg

(Enlarge the picture!)
First of all, i think this is one of the prettiest pictures that i have taken in the last 109 days, remember those glass-fiber lights that change in colors all the time when spinning around? Shoggoth can do that!
The fuzzy hair is reflecting the light from the flash like that. Awsome! And thanks to this, we can see that these strings are spreading out in tiny amounts to.
Nature's Plumbing.

Mother nature finally decided that filling and hardening the egg-crater was a good idea, and i think so to because it smelled like fucking shit even through my masks.
And as i mentioned before, everything is growing hillshaped and the hole is one of the only parts left unaffected by the black goo.
And for the people who missed it, two days ago i pretended to be affected with Cordyceps to a friend. "Operation Streetlight was a succes. He just stared at me for like, 5 minutes straight and then tried to all me, and right when my phone went off i accidently lost my grip and fell down. That was so damn worth it."
And now for the bad part...
The black goo.
Many of you have identified the black goo/mold as a mold that causes various disease symptoms that i have had a week ago, right before it started growing, and its not only dangerous for me, but also for the people in my house and even worse; The house it self.
It also sometimes looks like it contains air bubbles and then later it looks like it just burst/erupted. It's like a swamp gas volcano, it breathes. It might even be spreading spores right now. I compared it to the generic horror movie/game black goo that mind controls people and mutates animals, well, it might be getting close to that.
But you might wonder, "according to your logic Thijs, that is not a bad part at all it's awsome."
Yes. So far it is.
THIS IS THE DAMN BAD PART OF THE STORY

THEY LIVE. THEY CRAWL. THEY EAT.
THEY FUCKING REPRODUCE.
As some of you might recall, this is the thing that i hate the most. As far as i know they are not maggots though, maggots would have been BLEACH TIME.
But really. If there exists a higher power, he has been trolling me now. First i had spawned pure sickness and death in a jar, to so far that some people still call me Pestilence (one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse.) But now Shoggoth also stands for life.
This is exactly the thing that i did NOT want to happen.
Let's put it another way.
The biblical apocalypse has Seven seals. If the seven seals are broken, everything is doomed.
These creatures are the second broken seal of the Shoggoth apocalypse.
The first seal was me getting sick for a week straight and actually feeling really fucking bad about it.
I don't know how much seals i can break before i end this, but you know me as a batshit insane guy anyway so don't worry just yet.
I just checked the little fuckers again,
And they are diggers. As in, i couldn't find them because they dug themselves into Shoggoth again. So basicly... They live inside the layers of all devouring shit, and they SURVIVE it.
And even worse,
THERE COULD BE MORE OF THEM AND THERE PROBALLY IS.
Shit man, shit... Can anyone indentify the little ones for me? I... Lets just say that i don't really want to.
The black goo doesnt scare me anymore, only its inhibitants.

Day 108: Break time.

Day 107: Itty Bitty Change.
Everything on top of Shoggoth suddenly has a sandly like texture, its a crust again. Except there are no color changes this time, and the black Goo has grown in size.
The sad part is that the crust doesn't show up on pictures during nighttime, so i'll try and take some tomorrow during daylight.
The fuzzy/hairy fungi is still on top though, and both charlie, a second spider and a dead fly are totally gone now.
And i tried to call the doctor and the lab assistant today, but my calls are neither being ignored or there is no-one at the office. Kind of odd.
Other than that, i don't have any idea what to write down except that im tired as hell right now. But i have something to do tonight first, as the facebookers have noticed.
Oh and, a bit late, but congratulations America for finally getting proper healthcare. Obama is preparing for the Shoggoth Apocalypse! Are YOU prepared?
Oh, and dear /v/,
I AHM SOHLO BANTOHSI. I AHM THE LEEDER OF THE REVOLUUTIONERI ARMEY KNOWNS AS DU REAPUHS. Is out.

Day 106: "Black sludge legion."
Something is growing in Shoggoth, something weird.
We already knew that the roof top layer of Shoggoth was becoming black, but not un-natural black.
Yep. I've said it. Un-natural Black.

This black sludge is growing up from the sides, and then slowly eating up the roof layer.

It's also coming from within the 'Egg Crater'. Fuzzy picture related.
I noticed the blackness viewed from the sides has been increased in size to.
Now normally this wouldn't bother me, i mean Shoggoth has been yellow, flamboyant gay pink, green, white, all that kind of shit, But never... Black. Ok listen.
Before Kweeksel when i was like twelve or thirteen i had a bottle full of junk, batteries etc, the shit became orange and brown after turning green. Nothing special but you can say it was my first mold experiment.
I heated it on the piping system of my own home, that kind of crap. It's a shame shoggoth is way too big for that.
Then came Kweeksel. Kweeksel has been all kinds of colors (especially gray and white) But never black.
Cthun? Not black.
Shoggoth? There it is... What is this.
I'm really curious what this black substance is. So i poked it with a fork... And its tougher than gelatin.
Come to think of it, every time i make a new slime mold it becomes bigger, with the exception of Cthun.

Wait, Shit.
PS: 585 unique visitors on sunday. Holy shit.

Day 105: Houston, we have a problem.
Or should i say, multiple problems.
(Picture update because i'm too lazy to think of things to type)

First off, this egg is sitting here without results. And you know what, while i was typing this i got an idea. Brb breaking open the egg.
Well it was a pain in the ass getting the egg out, but here's the results

JESUS FUCK I CAN SMELL THIS SHIT THROUGH MASKS, SHIRT AND REFRESHENER COMBINED.
In case of a fungi apocalypse, get ready to make a suit out of eggshells, that shit will protect you for at least 15 days.
Ugghhhh... Sorry to say this guys, but i threw away the egg. And while i threw away the egg i noticed that the egg doesnt smell like anything, the smell actually comes from shoggoth. It smells like a freshly composted farm.
I threw in about half of the fucked up... eggwhite? i don't know how to call it in english. Anyway, that. The rest ended in the organic dumpster with the egg with it.
Which results into this:

"BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE. ORDER NOW, AND GET A SECOND PROBLEM, ABSOLUTELY FREE"
Shoggoth is becoming way too big. Or fat. Maybe both.
And on the bright side, look at that "Roof" layer, all black. Shit's awsome. And i still don't have any idea what that orange shit is.
The worst part about this problem? There's nothing i can do against it. Nothing that wouldn't harm Shoggoth in a whole can make it smaller now. Children grow in size, and shrinking them would kill them.
And i can't move it to another container without fucking up Shoggoth entirely. either.
And the last problem: Blogspot has a really shitty way of organizing pictures and text, so i had to edit this article like 17 times to get it right.
EDIT: NEARLY FORGOT TO MENTION:
When i touched the egg, yellow liquid started flowing a little bit again, like an automatic/allergic response. Something minor, but freaked me out nontheless. The liquid layer wants out.
