The flash is a little bit too bright for Shoggoth's currently white top, but it actually works out pretty sweet. So i guess this is another picture update just to show off some better quality pictures.
I even had the luck of finding something special.
So far, it just looks like a regular picture. Except that it's way brighter than usual and doesn't look so green and liquid. Hey wait a minute, is that a Shoggie? Lucky shot right there. The flash is a bit too bright for the white fungi, but i can't complain.
Holy shit, this has to be the best quality picture posted so far. And look, the Shoggie eating from... Wait, is that... CHARLIE!? HOLY SHIT. LOOK AT THAT.
His corpse is all molten and crap, except for some legs, it's like a mutation from games like dead space jesus christ. Took another picture just incase:
EDIT: Yes, its that brown thing next to the Shoggie, that nasty pile of molten mutating spider corpse.
One of the legs is covered in Fungi, while stil dripping with some foul kind of ooze. And i just noticed that the shoggie has SPIKES ON HIS BACK. Those are not legs, they are SPIKES. (or barbs.) I am a proud father now. ;_;
How do i know they are not legs?
1. The Shoggie moved around and looked upwards (to the light, presumably... Or to me.) and the spikes/barbs stayed on his back.
2. They are on the back and not on the bottom.
3. Holy fucking shit they are spikes, on bugs, RIP AND TEAR
This is becoming more and more like a bad horror flick movie and i love it so much.
Holy fuck it probably looks better than IRL with that quality.
ReplyDeleteAnd you have carniverous mold bugs living in your shed.
Dude you just vastly improved the creepyness of this whole thing with that fucking great camera. Nice job bro.
ReplyDeleteYes, i love it so much, i can actually see way more stuff than with my bare eye on these pictures to. And look how awsome that white fuzz looks.
ReplyDeleteOh God, SPIKES? They must've gotten enough DNA-points from eating Charlie.
ReplyDeleteYou could throw in other larvae and see how they react to that mess (or see them get eaten by the Shoggies).
And that's why you can never kill Shoggoth
ReplyDeleteThere's always something new going on with Shoggoth! I love it! Shoggie seem even more badass now that I'm aware of their spikes (as if they weren't badass before, surviving in and on Shoggoth alone). Not to mention that they are useful, as they seem to eat Shoggoth, preventing it from growing too much.
ReplyDeleteAlso I masturbate to the picture quality of your new camera. Srsly. In the name of all Shoggoth fans out there; I thank you!
Really? Am I the only one that noticed the DAY YOU POSTED PICTURES OF SHOGGIES that they had spikes? I mean, seemed pretty evident.
ReplyDeleteReally?
ReplyDeleteWell, at first i thought they were their legs.
ReplyDeleteBut they dont have legs.
^
ReplyDeletewat
Vastly more awesome now. Pokemon comes to mind for some reason aswell.
SHOGGOTH used SPORE
Super Effective, 1-hit KO
Using a light source like a lamp to light up shoggoth instead of using the flash will help a lot. Flash tends to drown out everything when you use a macro, because you're closer.
ReplyDelete@Pokemon Anon, Spore is a status move you noob
ReplyDelete@Above anon, they obviously meant Shoggoth Spore.
ReplyDeleteThijs, for Eden, you should go with the original concept, and make it a garden of wonders. Put all kinds of little bugs in it, make it a home for them.
ReplyDeleteLike and ant farm, but rotting!
about the garden bit of Eden, i actually had some plans so far yes. But not bugs.
ReplyDeleteYour new camera is awesome
ReplyDeleteI love you
About the flash: you can probably decrease the brightness somewhere in the camera settings.
ReplyDeleteBe sure to keep feeding it organic materials rich in nutrients!
ReplyDeleteI'm just gonna go ahead and say it, but damn, Shoggies look like Zerg from starcraft 2. Like seriously, look at them, compare them, be amazed. Also, what the fuck is that brown thing near shoggie? it looks like chicken to me, decomposing chicken in a sacklike substance. My friend, coming from someone who's been playing too much starcraft 2, I believe they are creating their own organic buildings, and are in fact, zergs. At the moment they are just buying time and collecting resources, soon enough you'll have an army of hydralisks coming your way.
ReplyDeleteThe brown thing is the corpse of Charlie, AKA the huge spider which i was talking about.
ReplyDeleteSoon it will be spawning hydralisks, the Shoggies are actually worker drones.
Seriously, you should start eating bits of Shoggoth. Like Mithridatism, eat a little bit at a time, and eventually you'll be growing your own back-spikes.
ReplyDeleteAll in the name of science, of course.
Starcraft anon here again,
ReplyDeleteI love you Thijs <3
