But nevertheless, here's the usual update.
Shoggoth has changed once more, green mold is growing on the top of the yellow/white mold on some parts now. It might actually be the zombie remains of Cthun, its the same kind of green.
It would be scary if Cthun was actually stronger than shoggoth.
* I fed shoggoth a few crickets, a spider and some musquitos. All dead before throwing in though.
* Added a few drops of milk again, and now im no longer going to throw in fluids for a while, because its building up at the bottom. Shoggoth seems to have problems with fluids.
* I'm no longer going to stir shoggoth, only shake him a bit. It was starting to ruin the upper layer.
* The container for Grimer fell and is shattered into pieces. Bah. Getting a new one probally tomorrow.
* Microscope moved to monday due to people coming over etc.

And probally something that i forgot. Most of this is gone now, so i dont really have a chance of finding it back either.

ReplyDeletei'm not so sure about how bad throwing in chemicals is. been thinking myself about this, from a non-scientific, alchemical point of view these pure chemical substances are products of the human mind. we humans seperated 'natural' matter into its component atoms, and re-shaped these into the pure chemicals you see in vials and pots when you walk into a lab
ReplyDeletenow if the gods of decay are with you Thijs, the hell goo will be able to conquer small amounts of chemicals. most of the things you put in to date are of biological origin or foodstuffs, which are biological too. my hypothesis is that if you feed it some pure (preferably toxic) chemicals, which are man made chemical 'essences', you'll add some technological powers to your creation...
(i'm a dutchfag and a chemist, i'd be happy to supply you maybe with some toxic phosphines, or funky solvents like benzene or dichloromethane (carcinogens) to attune your creature to devouring also man-made materials)
ALSO your comments about the brew having mind-control over you, maybe you should throw in some magic mushrooms to enhance its psychic abilities?

ReplyDeleteSo is the layer hard? U dont want a hard layer on the top cuz its gonna make adding stuff harder =P and a layer is always kinda lame imho.
