Day 90: Surgery, Part two.

Edit: Shoggoth is making little sounds, like bursting bubbles. It's a constant sound. Almost like a clock ticking but faster.

Also changed the layout a bit.

Approx 23:40 - 11:40 PM:

Someone from /sci/ told me to put shoggoth into warm water every day to heat it up, so i use that method to heat up most of shoggoth back to life right now. And the results are satisfying, shoggoth did feel warmer on the outside. I haven't sticked a finger (wearing gloves) in though and im not planning to either right now. Going to refresh the warm water at 01:00 / 1 AM.

Damnit, i owe you one /sci/.

I threw in some warm bread, spit and a little bit of the warm water to help the top heat up faster. It already looks a bit healthier this way doesn't it? A bit of a relief.

Why do i worry so much about a pot of fungi anyway? I couldn't stand the thought of it being out there in the cold all day, and it feels kind of good to have him/it/her back inside you know..

I had been preparing something to:

It's frankenstein time!

But not today. Shoggoth is going through enough for today.. And i'm tired.

Day 90: In during fake father instincts. Part 1.

It's currently about 22:30. Or, 10:30 PM.
Its -4 degrees celcius outside. For my fahrenheit user readers; It's freezing.

I wasn't at home today, (my father's birthday.) and on the way there, I noticed that there was ice on the roads. I got a little nervous thinking about the combination of frost and shoggoth. Later that night i hurried home;
I'm not going to let my "child" freeze to death. Fuck that.

As soon as i came home, i said hello to my parents, rushed to the shed, carefully sneaked shoggoth back to my room. And i arrived not any second too late;

It was starting to freeze, and notice the color? Shit man.. If there is any life in there, i will nurse it back to health.
Oh well, i geuss the "survivors" in there are now basicly only the stronger kind of fungi and bacteria, and will eat away the dead, weaker parts in a short while.

More coming in about 15-30 minutes.

Day 89: Don't die on me now.

I hate this fucking cold so much right now.

Shoggoth seems to be getting a bit revived by the new sugar, bread, cumcumber, spit combo. Poured in a little amount of warm water in to, just incase. And even though it won't make any difference, i wrapped a scarf around shoggoth.
Sprinkled a little bit of salt over it just incase, though i doubt that it will do anything.

So yes, i'm treating it a bit like a human right now, it will need more food to stay warm. And alive. And before you ask, yes i would lock up a human in my shed in this cold to if he was my personal experiment.

Funny thought; antibiotics have less effect killing shoggoth than the cold temperature does.. Then again, mold in general has issues with growing at an average temperature of 4 degrees celcius. And antibiotics dont cover the entire container unlike this cold.

And i looked around for a 9V battery but for some reason my fellow citizens of hoorn have started to hoard as much batteries as possible and i couldnt find them at a few stores. So no electricity.. yet.
Come to think of it, would a thin metal wire get any warmer from 9 volt? If it does, i would gladly spread the wire inside shoggoth. Not a copper wire though.

And another question to you guys, should i heat up most of the things that i will throw in just a little? Or heat up shoggoth with that white... USB.. Cupwarmer thing once a day? Not just to give it warmth, but to make it more resistant to temperature changes to.

Day 88: Cold + 2 days + shoggoth = timetravel?

I feel kind of guilty. Why?
I think the cold killed the pink spots. The white and pink fuzz on top of shoggoth seems to be gone to... It almost looks like i'm back at day, well, about day 40. Maybe the oldest fungi/slime/mold/whatever is the strongest of all of shoggoth.
Wow.
(Yes thats sugar and cumcumber.)

and yes i still was planning to run electricity though it, about 9 Volt.

Day 87: Shit

Forgot to write earlier today, not at home for the night so cant access shoggoth. Sorry!
Did check out some smoke detectors but most worked with optics instead of AM241.

Day 86: Immediate Effect

It looks like shoggoth is very sensitive to temperature.
You might want to stock up on flamethrowers.

Shoggoth has been outside of room temperature (around 5 degrees celcius today on average) And it's now 2 degrees celcius. Which is close to freezing. Though i have no idea what the temperature inside the actual shed is.

I'm pretty sure some fungi died, but it has been replaced by another kind of fungi already. Shoggoth is now almost completely white and pink on the top layer, and the middle layer seems to be becoming harder as it moves slower than usual when turning shoggoth.
It also looked like shoggoth was bigger than usual.

Brown weak spots are starting to appear on random visible parts of the apple now to, so it's being eaten from inside.

EDIT: A friend calls me "Pestilence, horseman of the apocalypse" now. Yep. Can you imagine?

Day 85: Moved out.

Shoggoth no longer lives in the same building as I do. Both for my girlfriend, me, the pets and the other humans here.
He's now within a small house in the garden, Where the temperature shouldnt be THAT low but still low. Growth will go slower from now on sadly. And that apple was already taking it's time...

I mean, look, goddamn.

That's one persistant apple.
Though it seems to be getting eaten from the damn inside now.

I tried to get a picture of one of those "eyes" that appear all over shoggoth from time to time but it bursted. So basicly, it's something close to a poisonous gas bubble. Awsome.

Suddenly got two more emails regarding my project, but these ones were fake. No phone number or anything just a warning, one in english and one in google translator dutch. Moved to the "fanmail" folder.

I'll be doing another health test tomorrow, and poke him around if Am241 inside this could harm me, and ask some stuff about chemicals that you guys keep recommending.

Now back to disinfecting/cleaning every place shoggoth has ever been to... ugh. Wish me luck. These fumes are probally going to hurt my lungs more than shoggoth has ever done, so thank god for those damn masks.
